Our Methodologies
SERIES

At Soft Steel Sanctum we run all our classes as 4 week series. This consistency not only improves your development week to week, it is also  time devoted to you and your body.

Foundational Series OFFERINGS

Series classes are 4-week sessions that meet at the same time each week, designed to progressively build skills and support steady growth.

I.

Pillars of Pole 

Pillars of Pole I is for beginners as well as those who have taken a bit of a hiatus from pole and are ready to come back but need a slight refresher. Learn the basics through a dance forward approach. A classic beginner pole series that focuses on learning the foundational moves with a dance driven motivation. Over the course of 4 weeks, we will focus on strength building, grip control all while learning transitional dance sequences. Also great for those who aren't brand new to pole dancing but are new to Soft Steel Sanctum and our methods. Join us has we brush of the cobwebs and get you back on the pole as effortlessly as possible.

II.

Pillars of Pole II

Pillars of Pole II is our intermediate series pole tricks class. In Pillars of Pole II we begin conditioning for our invert as well as perfecting our climb and learning foundational tricks for aerial moves. Just like Pillars of Pole I, we still have a dance forward approach to this series. Focusing on melting through more complex moves and being present in our bodies even when our bodies are under more stress. Expect to continue to gain strength as well as an awareness and presence within your body through dance. 

III.

Pillars of Pole III

Pillars of Pole III is our advanced series. In this series you can expect to be inverting as well as beginning to learn more complex sequences aerially. Here we perfect our tricks and continue to dance through our more complicated tricks. We also introduce more spin pole to our aerial tricks, mastering how to pace our spin pole and not lose control.

Supplemental Series OFFERINGS

Supplemental Series classes are 4-week sessions that run alongside with our Pillars series. Each month one of our supplemental series will be our central focus. This unites our students by bringing the same goals and ideas to everyone in the Sanctum.  

I.

Steel Heels

Steel Heel is our Beginner Heels technique series. Yes, this is for those brand new to this second apparatus. Are you apprehensive about heels? This series will strengthen, feet, ankles and so much more while diving deep into the mechanics of how to properly utilize heels. This is a highly requested series that students love to repeat to refresh their heel awareness.

*Students are required to have 8in Stilettos (i.e. Pleaser Flamingo 808's) in order to attend this series. 

II.

Chrome Choreography

At Soft Steel Sanctum, our Chrome Choreography Series invites you to immerse yourself in a dynamic dance experience. In this series, each week plan to learn a short sequence that we will then perfect and repeat. Our goal is to get you to embody that sequence to perfect it and make it your own. This is our low flow style class. Consider this a sexy interval training class. Expect to sweat and be challenged.

III.

Commencing for Connection

Connection in the Sanctuary (previously known as Connection in the Club) is a class created for those interested in working in *the club*. Yes, you can learn tricks on the pole, but more importantly you must be able to connect with others by connecting with yourself. Master the ability to drop into your body and turn on that mystique within you. This class will challenge you but open you to a realm of possibilities through your movement and your ability to leave a lasting impression. 

 

*This series involves giving and receiving physical touch in a respectful and consensual manner

IV.

Reflect & Refine

Reflect and Refine is a series approaching fundamental moves from a completely new perspective. How does one breakdown a specific move? We will discuss drills and muscles being used for that months move then follow it with implementation. How do we execute on the floor? How do we execute in more advanced moves? How can we articulate and emote through said move as well. Reflect and Refine is all about embodying a move and making it a part of our DNA and executing with ease.

III.

Melt & Mould

Introducing our newest series–– Melt & Mould. This series is based on what Soft Steel Sanctum is truly most passionate about; dance. Melt & Mould is the sanctum's quintessential low flow sequence series. Expect to come to each class ready to breakdown bite size sequences to not only mold to your body but, to encourage your own exploration. Expect to melt, shift and transition through pole dancing's most infamous low flow moves while using these new found pieces to encourage your own unique movement literacy .
